  1. <Rs> Output In A Datamatrix

Hi All, I created a datamatrix using the normal HTML symbology - ^] = <GS>, ^D=<EO> etc. - however, when I try to input the Record Separator symbol of ^^ the barcode produced does not output the <RS> but rather just a singular ^ when it is being read. I am relatively new to the software so any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. Hi, I am trying to change the current 1D barcode to GS1-128. However, I am having a few issues and they are as follows: - I have updated the data source (excel file) and added a leading zero to my GTIN 13 to make it 14 characters. However, Bartender does not detect that leading '0' and ends up adding a check digit at the end. - Even when I check the data in FILE - DATABASE CONNECTION - BROWSE it still show the numbers swithout a leading zero. - Also when I use the AI DATA SOURCE WIZARD to create barcodes, the data format for GTIN remains as 13 characters even when I change the data source to 14 characters. - AI 22 is obsolete, however it still shows up on my list on Bartender. How do I update my software? Can someone please guide me through this as I am new to using Bartender. Thank you.
  3. Hello, I'm using Bartender v10.0 SR4 to print labels with a rectangular 16x36 DataMatrix (ECC200, ISO-8859-1 encoding). I've set the template to this particular size because it fits the maximum theoretical size of our identifiers and I wanted the layout to be consistent, even for shorter identifiers (so I did not consider "auto size" for the barcode). I assumed that "extra space" would be used for extra error correction. Internally in our company, we use Gryphon 44xx 2D handheld scanners. Everything is working like a charm. But recently, we received some strange feedback from two external partners regarding their ability to properly decode our labels. I know that one partner is using ZXing .NET library. For the other one, I don't know which software library is used, it may even be home-made. Nevertheless the symptoms are the same: it happens that extra data may be appended at the end of the identifier. Different identifiers led to different extra data; not all identifiers are subject to this phenomenon. And this seems to be only the case with rectangular DataMatrix using fixed size: I've sent square DM and auto-sized rectangular DM with the same content, they were properly decoded. Is there anything known regarding broken libraries or tricky things that might happen with fixed sized DM? I'm quite confident in the ability of Bartender to follow the standards, moreover we don't have issues with our "hardware" scanners. Any feedback regarding this issue and best practices is more than welcome. Thank you in advance.
  4. Hello, I have 2 variable length fields in my datamatrix. Batch/Lot and Serial Number. I put the Serial Number at the end so I don't have to worry about it's variable length. For the Batch/Lot I added a a Data Terminator of ^1. My motorola scanner model is MC9190. I'm running DataWedge v3.6. When I scan my barcode, the variable length terminator character isn't being translated to my vb program. From what I've been reading, I should add a keymap in my Datawedge to convert the ^1 to a readable character. I'm stuck here. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Postal Td896 Of "poste Italiane"

Hi I'm testing latest release of BT-PRO (10.1.SR3) in order to print Postal TD896 (it is Italian postal like this http://www.cariddipost.it/bollettino-TD-896; here specifications http://www.poste-impresa.it/resources/bancoposta/pdf/pmi/bollettino/Manuale_Stampa_In_Proprio_2014.pdf) Postal is complete with all data and two barcode: 1) Code 128 AIM USS-128 C (monodimensional barcode) 2) Datamatrix (bidimensional barcode) After check, Poste Italiane tell me that all barcode are not readable to their scanner Maybe I did something wrong in configuring both barcode. Following is requirement of Code 128 taken from Poste documentation: coding Code 128 AIM USS-128 tipo C number digit 28, 1 start digit, 25 identification digit, 1 chkdgt, 1 stop digit width bars and spaces Wide = 0,298mm bar height HxL about 12mm x 93mm tolerance width bars and spaces 10% coding Arabic numerals height digit 2mm (Arial) attached are screenshots of my configuration in Bartender (Code128-cfg*) Following is requirement of Datamatrix taken from Poste documentation coding datamatrix Error check ECC 200 (Reed-Solomon) Format rectangular, 16 x 48 cells dimensions (except quiet zone) two cells per side 15mm x 45mm pixel/cell 11 (300 dpi) polarity black or white attached are screenshots of my configuration in Bartender (Datamatrix-cfg*) Can U help me to configure correctly barcode in Bartender? ThankU in advance
  6. Hi, I'm using Bartender 10.1 Entreprise Automation (trial version) in generating a 2D datamatrix ECC200 (44x44) for a string of 142 characters. These characters are encoded using CP1252 and could be of ascii values 0-255. When I set the text encoding of the datamatrix to US, Western Europe (ANSI, 1252), the prefix ']d4\000023' is automatically added to the datamatrix in front of the data. The prefix is not appended to the datamatrix, if I set the text encoding to US, Western Europe (ISO 8859-1). But this is not the encoding that can be used for the data. The prefix setting in barcode properties is set to None but the prefix is added regardless. So the prefix seems to be related to the selected encoding? Is it possible to suppress the prefix ']d4\000023' so that the entire data can be fitted into the datamatrix? If so, how can this be done? Thanks in advance.
