Hello,

We have a .txt file that gets dumped into our SCAN folder in version 10 of bartender, but in 2016 I am receiving an error.

The error is:

"An error occurred during BTXML Script Processing:

Unable to merge Bartender batch database data with document \\bartender\bartender labels\<companyname>\<vendor>\<LabelName.BTW>" because a "btTextFile" database connection was not found."

The file is simple: %BTW% /AF="\\bartender\bartender labels\<companyname>\<vendor>\<LabelName.BTW>" /D="%Trigger File Name%" /DBTEXTHEADER=3 /R=3 /P /C=1  /Close
%END%
"Part Number","Barcode"
"2907370","662755506840"

I am not sure why it is not working in 2016.  It shows that is is executing action, it reads the command, but just errors out immediately.

Any help would be great.

That is Print Command Script, not BTXML.  Take a look at the example for this in the following white paper: http://www.seagullsc...lder-201608.pdf

By the way, this forum is being deprecated and is replaced by this instead: https://support.seag...ommunity/topics

Thanks.

I have everything set up as 'Print Command Script'.  The action and the 'Input Data Format', and it still throws this error.

See the attached white paper, in the example starting on page 18 in particular.  You need to change the content of the script for the /D command so that it reads as: /D="%FilePath%"

Speaking with colleagues on this who tested it out on BarTender 2016 R3 they report that the existing "%Trigger File Name%" variable still works.  I believe that this might have been broken in earlier releases, but has since been fixed.  I'd recommend an update to R3 in any case if you have not already done so...
