Permissions In Security Explorer

I am new to bartender and have been training on Enterprise Automation trial version(9.4 SR3). Early on I was able to open all companion applications. Now I can no longer open Printer Maestro, History explorer, or Reprint console. I am logged in as the domain administrator as I have been all along. Before I discovered my problem,in Security Center I checked the box for administer for all applications for the administrators group and added a test user who happens to be in the administrators group already and checked all boxes except administer, for all programs. Since then I have not been able to correct the problem. It seems the permissions are no longer making a difference. Is this due to my installation being a trial? How can I correct this?
