#30 Demonstration Mode

Posted by tbostwick_hubbard on 31 May 2011 - 09:02 AM

Been using Bartender Pro 9.3 SP2 for some time, and recently, I'm getting an error message whenever I go to print or preview new/existing labels.
Bartender: Warning message #2625 "Demonstration mode. BarTender will now run in demo mode where on character per printed bar code or text object will be randomly changed in the print preview and the actual print output"

This is a fully piece of licensed software - that basically is halting my designs on new projects, and causing issues on other machines waiting on me to develop a new label format?

Please advise

#17503 The Basics Of Rfid

Posted by oprfid com on 07 September 2016 - 12:51 AM

OPRFID RFID technology is a simple method of exchanging data between two entities namely a reader/ writer and a tag. This communication allows information about the tag or the element carrying the tag to be determined and in this way it enables processes to be managed more easily.

An RFID system comprises a number of elements:
RFID reader / writer: The reader write is used to communicate with the tags that may pass within range. The RFID reader writer will normally be located in a fixed position and will be used to interrogate an RFID tag. Dependent upon the application and the format of the system and the RFID reader / writer, data may also be written to the RFID tag。

RFID tag: RFID tags may also be called RFID transponders and are typically located on items that are mobile. They are small and generally cheap so that they can be attached to low cost (or high cost) items that need to have information associated with them. They are also generally considered as being disposable. The RFID tag contains data that is relayed to the reader, and in some systems it may also be possible to update the data within the tag to indicate that the tag and hence the item has undergone a specific stage in a process, etc.

RFID application software: Like all systems these days, OPRFID RFID Card systems need application software to run the overall system. With many systems there will be a number of different reader / writers and the data to and from these needs to be coordinated and analysed. Application software will be required for these.

Although each RFID system will vary according to its requirements, these are the main elements which can be found.

RFID technology has become widespread in its use. It offers may advantages and RFID is a particularly versatile system, being able to be used in many areas from shops, to manufacturing plants and also for general asset tracking as well as a host of other innovative applications.

#17505 How To Synchronize Content Between Main- And Remote-Librarian

Posted by Biomech on 07 September 2016 - 08:17 AM

hey Guys,

my company is currently using one central Librarian, where the "master data" team maintains the label layouts, that are used worldwide.

In our SAP implementation (Europe) i installed 3 label server (Bartender, Librarian,....) in Italy, Finland and Switzlerand.

In the beginning of 2018 there will be 8 remote Librarian databases working.

How/when does Seagull supply a feature to snchronize content to remote librarians? I don´t want to execute sql statements, to publish content.

This topic becomes super urgent to my company, after European implementation.

Our supplier (OPAL Switzlerand) also requested this feature for all their customers at Seagull.

Thanks for any update.

#17498 New Is Better When It Comes To Crm Software

Posted by Double on 05 September 2016 - 07:08 PM

If your pet is likely to enterprise a long way from home then you should think about placing an identification tag on it. The ID tag can be as basic as you like, but the most contemporary way is to use 'radio frequency identification' or an RFID tag.
The system utilized by the CPL is extremely comparable to those adopted by Wal-Mart, Netflix and UPS. Many libraries around the world are switching to RFID technology. One of the keys to the system operation was the set up of some 300K rfid labels in library supplies! The rfid labels look like an approximately 2" x two" neutral-colour sticker on most print materials. Nevertheless the simplicity of its style belies the fact that it is an extremely sophisticated piece of integrated chip technology. The method is licensed in accordance to ISO 15693 and ISO 18000-3. Every tag is "read-write" and is programmed uniquely to every merchandise with the title, barcode and security info.
Network Options: Network rfid solutions costs that are affordable and customer services that is 2nd to none. They have a toll free number that can be known as 24 hours a working day, seven times a 7 days. What's more is that you will actually get to talk to a genuine individual. Their internet hosting packages start at just $7.forty seven for each month and top off at $9.ninety seven per month, that's a lot of service at a very inexpensive price. These prices signify a 25 % financial savings that Community Options is presently providing, but even the full prices of $9.96 to $13.thirty per thirty day period aren't all that poor. Community Options also will save you money by giving you an area name for free when you use their web internet hosting services.
The other essential parts of this software are guide drop stations that are meant to hasten the procedure of check-in of publications and other items. The publications that are dropped by the customers are study by uhf rfid which then updates the databases accordingly. The patrons can, thus, use these fall boxes without any assistance from the library employees.
Apple, as usual, is extremely secretive about their approaching ideas. If the rumored features actually do seem in a new Iphone 5, they will help the Apple Apple iphone remain effective in an increasingly aggressive marketplace.

#17499 Zebra Qln320 - Labels Overlapping!

Posted by Rich_Mac on 06 September 2016 - 02:43 AM

Hi,

Our Warehouse System company have setup our company on BarTender, moving across from previously using LabelView to print pallet labels.

We are having an issue with BarTender where the content from the labels begin to overlap onto the following label, this is causing a problem where the barcode is half on one label and half on another.

The warehouse system company are not really proving to be helpful and have sort of left me to it to try and figure out what is happening.

I have used the BarTender drivers for the Zebra Qln320 CPCL (I'm not too sure there is another driver, or if this driver is incorrect).

I have attached an image of the issue we are facing. As you can see, the print slowly starts to move down the label until it overlaps onto the next one.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Richard

#17497 Printing Images In Datamax

Posted by anolcue on 05 September 2016 - 01:14 PM

Hi,

I'm working in a old vb application that sends directly to the com port prn files exported with bartender for datamax I-4208.

If i send the label as is exported by bartender, this doesn't print.

But if I send priory the image separated from the label and after i send the label taking out the embedded image, then it prints.

What's the reason of this?

There is a way to send in once?

#17079 Picture Get File Name From Datasource Bug When Default Path Not Set

Posted by Tarig on 11 July 2016 - 11:56 AM

On the latest 2016 R2 Designer if you set the full path of an image in an embeded tag or vbscript the file will not load. Example "c:\picture" & "123" & ".png" but if you set the default path to c:\ then "picture" & "123" & ".png" will work.

This used to work in R1 and is a huge issue when trying to print 8.0 labels with images on them

#14929 Brady Ip 300 - Full Feature Set Not Present On Windows Server 2012R2

Posted by Baravis on 10 December 2015 - 08:18 AM

Hi there,

I'm attempting to move some label printing function onto one of our print servers, but the driver--once installed--is not picking up the advanced options of the driver.  All the printing defaults provide me with are layout options.  I don't get the tabs: General, sharing, ports, advanced, color management, security, fonts, tools, or about.

Does anyone know how to get these property tabs to show up on a print server?

#16083 Printer Defaults - Via Registry

Posted by Cantoris on 23 March 2016 - 02:33 AM

I'd like to be able to import registry settings to set the desired default stock and media sense mode (transmissive) within a given user's profile (or alternatively do similar that affects all users).  I've got the requisite stock added via the Defaults.sds file.

Is it a case of importing the printer-named value under HKCU\Printers\DevModes2 and/or the one under DevModesPerUser?  I don't know the details of what these two keys do.

Thanks for any suggestions.

#16316 Printing One Label At A Time

Posted by jbellinger on 19 April 2016 - 09:01 AM

Right now we print labels from Bartender / Commander at the start of our manufacturing process.  That printing results in a number of box labels that can vary, usually 1 to 100.  Those labels then travel around our shop floor, some are attached to product at one operational stop, and then remainder is attached at another operational stop over the life of the manufacturing process for the item being manufactured.  We are looking at placing printers at each stop where labels are attached, and then printing at each individual operational stop. However, as we've discussed the process of attaching labels, we'd also like to eliminate the manual step of peeling labels.  What I'm wondering is it possible to trigger our printing in such a way so that labels are spit out one at a time, peeled?  In other words, one label would come out of the printer which the operator would attach to the product which would then trigger the printing of the next label until all labels have been dispensed?

#15070 How Many Bartender (32) Should There Be??

Posted by bsgrove73 on 04 January 2016 - 07:15 AM

Running BarTender Version 10.1.SR3 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.  Over the weekend, we noticed that when you open up task manager that there are two BarTender.exe (32 bit) processes consuming 100% of the cpu on the machine.  Our admin rebooted the server and things returned to normal.

Currently bartender service is running and in the task manager shows:

2 x BarTender.exe (32 bit)

1 x BarTender Systems Service 932 bit)

We do not use Commander.

My question is on a normal system with no commander, how many bartender.exe (32 bit) should there be?

Thanks in advance.

#16228 Help With Printing The Copy Number

Posted by Udi on 06 April 2016 - 12:23 AM

Hi,

My problem seem to be easy but I can't resolved it.

I have templete connected to MSSQL record.

Fields are OK

For every record there is a field "BoxCount" transfered to copies in print dialog.

I want to add 2 new fields to the templete to get the next statment:

printed copy number XX from YY copies.

for the YY it's simple both printer job object or database field "BoxCount"

but how to get the XX for the result:

first record:

1 of 3

2 of 3

3 of 3

Second record:

1 of 5

2 of 5

ext.

thanks,

#17133 Datamax-O'neil I-4406 Windows Print Queue

Posted by mikeh36 on 15 July 2016 - 02:29 PM

We've got a number of the I-4406 printers setup in Windows print queues on our print servers with the 7.4.1.0 drivers. The problem we're having is that the default settings we've set on the print queues are not getting transferred to the workstations. And quite often they workstations are complaining about a communication error with the print server. Has anyone had a similar experience and maybe have some pointers? There's no search function on this forum that I can find so.....

#16380 Shared Printer/network Printing

Posted by redmondsau on 27 April 2016 - 06:10 PM

We are trialing the enterprise software and have run into 1 issue in regards to multiple PC's printing to 1 printer. Wondering if there is a configuration issue.

THe printer data seems to be stored within the label itself. However the printer is connected via USB to desktop1. When we open a label on desktop2 it cannot see the printer as the same as desktop1 as it is a shared network printer on desktop2. Therefor it changes the printer to 'default' (not a label printer). When the label is then opened again on Desktop1 it points to 'default' still. The label has also changed from being Thermal Direct to Thermal Transfer.

How can this be set so as not to encounter this issue.

Thanks

Redmondsau

Posted by Bill_B on 02 December 2015 - 02:07 PM

We have been printing with a Zebra 110Xi111 , Bartender V9.3 SR2 & an old Seagull Driver, no issues.

This week we upgraded one of our printers to Zebra 110Xi4 and the latest Seagull Driver.

The issue we have is the label format on the new printer is printing too large, it looks like the size is about 105%

Does anyone have any ideas?

We are working on assimilating a company we purchased into our infrastructure, and can't deactivate the BarTende rlicense on the old server yet.  But need to have a few more days on the new server to test.  Any way to extend the trial periodby a week or so?
